The HOPE Houston Chapter recently assisted the office of Congressmen Gene Green, of Houston,
with the biggest day of processing and assisting of people who are wanting to become U.S. Citizens.
Congressman Gene Green, has held this event for the past three years, and it is open to any person
who wants to become U.S. citizen. The all day event gives people in the community the opportunity to
get free assistance with the process of completing and filing the necessary documents to begin their
journey to U.S. citizenship.
The HOPE Houston Chapter has been called upon by Congressman Green for the past three years
to assist his Office in this venture. The event is always a huge success and has helped hundreds of
people with this process to become a American citizen.
The Houston HOPE Chapter has earned a reputation for its community involvement and volunteering
of our time. In fact, I was recently informed by Armando Entenza that the word is out and another
Congressman wants the HOPE Houston Chapter to assist with one of their events.
Helping others and volunteering of ones time is a very difficult thing to do when you have family and
work for the Postal Service. But this is something that gives us the sense of pride when we have done
something, as a organization, that is helping our community and others.
Everyone that came out to this event, thank you. Everyone that comes to any of our meetings or
events thank you, we need your involvement.
